DynaPrinter® – Free to Print

Designed from scratch

We took the best of open source, added our own and designed the first 3D printer that uses commonly used materials.

Born to print ABS, but not only

DynaPrinter® was born to print ABS natively that is also used to print itself following the footsteps of the RepRap project. Strength and reliability without compromise.

No plastic is left out, of course. DynaPrinter® is capable to print also PLA, PET, PETG, HIPS, TPU, NYLON and other commercially available plastics.

we save the world

We recycle

We use recycled plastic to print the parts of our printers and, at the end of their life, the plastics that compose it can be further recycled. Respect for the environment is our primary goal.

Open project

Fully OpenSource

The DynaPrinter® project is completely OpenSource, anyone is able to download the entire project and build or modify their own 3D printer. Hardware, firmware and software are also OpenSource, strictly cross-platform. We care about the freedom of sharing.

If you don't feel ready or don't have time you can always opt to buy a ready-made DynaPrinter®.

Zero impact

Built with commonly used materials

DynaPrinter® is built with commonly used materials that are readily available which implies low component cost and ease of production. Thanks to an interlocking system designed down to the smallest detail, assembly is fun and simple at the same time. Our steel frame is also powder coated to ensure durability over time.

SimplExtruder©

Self-leveling without frills

DynaPrinter® is able to self-calibrate the print bed automatically, natively and without the need for balancing act calibrations, thanks to the piezo electric leveling sensor integrated in the extruder that we have specially invented.

Just launch the print and the system will calibrate the print head and the worktable. Guaranteed precision, without frills, in fact.

We called it SimplExtruder©, with good reason.

Versatility

Uncompromising print quality

It doesn't matter what kind of plastic you are using to print your designs, DynaFirmware® and DynaSlicer® will always offer you maximum flexibility and reliability thanks to the myriad of pre-set options for various types of material, as well as allowing you the maximum freedom of custom settings.

Choose material's type, slice and print. Easier than that.

Who is behind the project

About us

Carlo LanzottiCEO & Founder

Also known as 'The master'. The DynaPrinter's creator. Design, hardware, firmware and software are his main tasks. In the free time he like to work also on the DynaPrinter, like a loop.

Giuseppe PicaFounder

Also known as the 'First man on the printer'. Helped to check all the DynaPrinter's insidious things. His house didn't get on fire, fortunately. He is also the mind behind the social media management.

Ferdinando GrecoFounder

Also known as 'Ferdy'. Helped to get out DynaPrinter's children. Thanks to him now there are a new family. He is also the mind behind the public relations and events handling.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

What is a 3D printer?

A 3D printer is a tool that allows you to create solid objects using plastic.

What does it mean that I can reserve the printer? Can't I buy it right now?

Unfortunately, due to the recent pandemic, many of our electronics suppliers have experienced serious production slowdowns. This prompted us to stop ours too. For now we collect reservations and only after reaching a sufficient number of requests do we request to place a real pre-order. The reservation is completely free and no money is required. It is also not binding on the purchase of the printer, if you change your mind there is no problem and you will not have to do anything.

How long will I have to wait to get my printer?

Our printers are printed by… other printers! This means that the necessary plastic parts must be printed and this process takes longer than an industrial production based on die casting. Generally, unless stocks are available, delivery times may vary from 30 to 60 days. However, these times will get shorter and shorter as we return to full production.

Can I choose the color of my printer?

Of course, however, this will cause delays in production by lengthening delivery times. Currently the DynaPrinter is available in Orange/Black.

How do I know when my printer went into production?

You will be able to follow each stage of production in your personal area of the site.

Can I make it myself?

Of course! You can download the entire DynaPrinter project from our GitHub page along with the hardware, firmware and software projects. Obviously only for non-commercial purposes.

I am not an expert, can I try to assembly it by myself?

Just be a little familiar with screwdrivers and electric wires. We have created a very simple assembly system and clear and detailed manuals.

Do I have to be an expert to be able to use it?

It is enough to have a little familiarity with the use of computers.

Is the Ready to Print printer really ready for use?

Of course, you just have to print the object you want, there is no need for manual calibrations.

You talk about printers made with recycled plastic, how do you do it?

We use two ways:
  1. We buy ready-made filaments made from recycled plastic produced by reputable companies
  2. We recycle the plastic in-house and create the filaments using our extruders.
We are also in contact with the bodies responsible for collaboration on the disposal of plastic.

Do you ship worlwide?

For now we only ship to Europe and the US but more countries will be added soon.

I need support because I cannot complete the assembly, what can I do?

You can contact us via email or on the support page, or via WhatsApp/Messenger or even through our Facebook channels. You will be contacted as soon as possible.
